This large-scale update of a 1950s house in Shoreline brought the space out of the dark and into the light. On the client's must-have list: brighter spaces to combat the PNW gloom, built-ins throughout the house for better organization, and a cohesive design to break the house out of its bachelor pad slump.
The client's globe-trotting art collection provided design inspiration, along with the home's original architectural details (funky textural brick, terrazzo, and geometric railings). Custom draperies throughout add softness and height to the low-slung midcentury windows.
