After spending several years searching for a vacation home on Whidbey Island, our clients found the perfect Victorian gem with a gorgeous view of the water. Our design task was to make the living spaces in the former bed-and-breakfast feel like home, infusing them with life.
Using a mix of new pieces and treasured family antiques, color and texture were layered in each space, to ensure ultimate comfort, and function.
The Sitting Room features the clients’ 1940s sofa and armchair, reupholstered in a peacock blue velvet, and a woven geometric. The flatweave wool rug brings a beachy feel, paired with a 1920’s-inspired rattan cocktail table.
The plum and gold Library is the ultimate getaway for the client to enjoy her vast book collection, cozying up in front of a window that overlooks the Salish Sea. Moroccan poufs are paired with the curved sofa, layered with a distressed rug for a timeless feel.
