Shannon Adamson Interior Design transforms spaces with design that reflects our clients' unique style and needs. With a focus on quality and exceptional attention to detail, we work closely with contractors, trades, and artisans to create one-of-a-kind homes.

Shannon offers 20 years of real-world design experience, backed by a rigorous interior design education. This knowledge and experience enables her to seamlessly envision, manage, and bring to life all design stages of clients’ projects, from initial space planning to furniture and accessories.

My clients are busy people with big dreams. Whether they are building their dream home, reimagining their existing house, outfitting a vacation home, or reinventing their business, they appreciate quality, design, and detail.

My specialty is collaborating with architects and experienced general contractors to execute a thoughtfully designed space. The technical knowledge I’ve gained over the years informs my design process, allowing me to work closely with contractors throughout the construction phase. The concise and detailed design documentation I produce communicates the design intent to the trades, avoiding costly surprises and changes in the field.

My passion is working closely with local craftspeople, artisans, and trade-servicing suppliers to create and source unique and well-made elements that uniquely reflect my clients.

about the designer

While studying Interior Design at Utah State University, Shannon's design career began in 2003 with an internship at the venerable Scottish firm of Whytock & Reid in Edinburgh. Here she learned from a talented interior design team as well as master cabinetmakers, upholsterers, and seamstresses. Seeing these artists create one-of-a-kind pieces instilled a deep love for custom pieces, something Shannon strives to include in her clients' designs.  

Prior to starting her eponymous firm in 2016, Shannon worked for several design firms honing her design skills on multiple residential renovations and new builds, several boutique resorts, and dozens of restaurants. She possesses a deep love for local, custom design, working with a team of experts including local craftspeople, quality installers, furniture manufacturers, drapery workrooms, and tradespeople who skillfully bring her unique designs to life. Shannon’s award-winning design work has been featured in Luxe Interiors + Design magazine and on Sunset, Homes & Gardens UK, and LivingEtc. Shannon Adamson Interior Design was chosen as a Luxe Gold List Honoree in 2022 and 2023, and in 2023 won a Luxe Residential Excellence in Design Award for bathroom design the Pacific Northwest region.

Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Utah State University and graduated magna cum laude. She is a member of the Northwest Society of Interior Designers (NWSID) and lives in Edmonds, Washington with her husband and two sons.
